Deputies arrested 14 people March 20, including one person wanted in connection with a felony warrant, on suspicion of violating Vista’s homeless encampment ban, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office reported.
A Sheriff’s Department report did not identify those arrested, although one was person was alleged to have been wanted in a vehicular manslaughter case.
Deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station Community Policing and Problem-Solving Unit made the arrests in the 400 block of La Tortuga Drive after several complaints of encampments and nuisances in the area, the report stated.
The arrests were made under the city’s homeless encampment ban, which has been in force since last summer.
