OCEANSIDE — The North County LGBTQ Resource Center hosts the 17th annual Pride by the Beach event, a celebration of diversity, acceptance and empowerment, on Saturday, June 1, from noon to 6 p.m. at 300 N. Coast Highway 101 in Oceanside.
The festival, which drew 20,000 visitors last year, features two entertainments stages, resources, retail and food vendors and is located in the heart of the Oceanside Cultural District. The event aims to provide an inclusive, family-friendly atmosphere free from alcohol and tobacco.
“Our theme this year, ‘Our Story, Our Power,’ reflects the essence of our festival,” Pride by the Beach Director Roxanne Deatherage said in a news release. “It’s about showcasing the strength and resilience of our community through our own stories. We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate the diversity and narratives that power our community.”
