Oceanside-based KBS buys Kimco facility service companies

Facility management firm Kellermeyer Bergensons Services of Oceanside recently announced its acquisition of a national competitor, Kimco companies.

The purchase of Kimco Holdings and Kimco Facility Services from Cerberus Capital Management was announced April 4.

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services’ purchase of 15 companies over the past four years makes it the largest privately held facility services provider in North America, according to the company.

“Kimco is a respected facility services leader with a deep track record of building trusted client relationships,” Mark Minasian, Kellermeyer Bergensons Services CEO, said in a news release. “More than ever, clients require partners who can deliver reliable, high-quality services at scale while overcoming complex market challenges. Kimco provides us with greater depth in the business and industrial sectors and we warmly welcome their talented team to the KBS family.”

Atlanta-based Kimco is a leading national provider of similar services and will operate as a KBS company, according to KBS’s announcement.

Recently, KBS provided facility cleanup services for the NCAA Final Four Weekend at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

KBS has acquired 15 companies over the past four years to build on its market-leading solutions and expand into new end markets and regions. Today, KBS is the largest privately held provider of facility services in North America, providing scalable, technology-enabled solutions across more than 100,000 locations.
