The most recent installation is titled Transcending Perception and was created in collaboration with five artists. Located next to The LOT, this installation is a series of five doors each by an artist from San Diego, the East Coast, Tijuana, and Kenya with one side of the door representing how each artist views themselves and the other side showing how society views them.
Virtual Reality at Wonderspace
For something a little more immersive, check out Wonderspace’s latest film Battlescar. San Diego Watercolor Society
ARTS DISTRICT is home to a wide variety of museums, galleries and artist studios. One of the longest running galleries, San Diego Watercolor Society, reopens its doors on May 7. The San Diego Watercolor Society Gallery is a showcase for the tremendous variety of watermedia as created by SDWS members
After being closed for over year, since March 2020, they are welcoming back San Diego just in time for Mother’s Day and with a brand-new exhibit titled Shape Zone available exclusively for their members. Their online store is also available to purchase paintings and other items you can send directly to Mom.
Dedicate a Rosebush to Mom
Give Mom a gift as unique and special as she is by dedicating a rosebush in her honor at the Sybil Stockdale Rose Garden. For a $500 donation, this tribute will have your custom message on a commemorative plaque implanted in the garden for decades to come, adjacent to your designated rosebush. Proceeds from the plaques go directly towards the NTC Foundation and sponsors community programs at Liberty Station, making it truly the gift that keeps on giving. Each donor receives a special certificate noting the location of the rosebush and the plaque inscription. To dedicate a rosebush, click here.
