Following its successful launch last year, the California Ranch Cookout weekends at The Alisal are back for 2021! These dinners take place on the Rodeo Arena and the Oval Lawn, two spacious and unique al fresco dining spaces at the ranch amidst the beautiful rolling hills and provide stunning wide-open backdrops for these cookout experiences. Confirmed guest chefs for Spring 2021 include culinary couple David Lentz & Suzanne Goin (The Hungry Cat and The Lucques Group, respectively) on March 27, “Top Chef” Winner Brooke Williamson (Playa Provisions) on April 17, and Cookbook Author Govind Armstrong (The Lobster) on May 15, to name a few.
- The Unbridled Retreat | April 25-28, 2021

Guests will have the unique opportunity to learn about the region’s iconic Santa Maria style grilling techniques along with local wine and beer tastings, in-depth workshops with each of the guest chefs, and more. Pricing is all-inclusive and starts at $1,095 for double occupancy. The package includes luxury studio accommodations for two nights, workshops attendance, welcome amenities and weekend accessories, keepsake booklet of notes and recipes, breakfast ride to the Old Adobe by horse or hay wagon, and all meals.
All experiences at The Alisal are held in accordance with state and county guidelines to ensure staff and guest health and safety, including (but not limited to) physical distancing, hand sanitizer and wash stations, personal protective equipment, and face covering requirements in public spaces.
