Los Angeles CA— Metrolink will make attending the 26th Annual Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn in Riverside more fun and convenient by offering special trains from Nov. 23 through Dec.15.
The Festival of Lights features holiday lights, more than 400 animated figures including angels, elves and Dickens carolers, live entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides, food vendors and a visit by Santa Claus.
Special Metrolink service from Union Station and Perris to the Riverside – Downtown Station, on the 91/Perris Valley Line, along with service on the Inland Empire-Orange County Line is available. The special trains will operate November 23, 24 and 30, and December 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15. There will be a free shuttle from the Riverside – Downtown Station to the Mission Inn. The roundtrip adult fare is $7 with riders18 years and under free with a maximum of three free children per paying adult. You can see train schedules and more information here
This is the third year Metrolink has offered service to the Festival of Lights. Funding is provided by the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC), the Riverside County Transportation Commission, Metro and the Orange County Transportation Authority.
