Riverside CA— October 10 marks the grand opening of the historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa’s newest specialty guest suite, the Kensington Kelly Suite, named after Mission Inn Owner, Vice Chairman and COO Kelly Roberts’ first born granddaughter, Kensington Kelly. The extravagant guest room is a mini-European castle unto itself and features a royal design, signature amenities, six different in-room spa offerings, and additional indulgent extras, creating the ultimate fairytale getaway for children and adults alike. The suite is perfect for special birthday celebrations, bridal showers, and guests looking to escape to a pink paradise hidden within The Mission Inn.
“I wanted to design a luxury guest suite out of love to honor my three-year-old granddaughter, Kensington Kelly, ingraining three generations of our family into the fabric of our beloved Mission Inn,” says Roberts. “Everyone deserves to feel like a princess, and we wanted to bring that fantasy to life with our Kensington Kelly Suite.”

Design

Mrs. Roberts, head of design and development for The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa and the Kensington Kelly Suite, carefully curates décor elements reminiscent of her granddaughter’s charming and vivacious personality. Inside, the suite has a royal, yet playful ambiance and is elegantly decorated with a palette of pinks and gold with polka dot and striped accents to entertain a design-minded eye.

A large crown is mounted above the elevated queen-size bed with gold accents that complement the custom pink Chesterfield-style double size sleeper sofa with rolled arms and tufted back. A quaint sitting area with tea set, a beautifully tiled fireplace, and nooks chock-full of books and toys for younger guests add to the space. French doors lead to a private patio enclosed by wrought iron fencing in a nod to the suite’s European inspiration. See photos here.

Amenities

Amenities included in the suite offer the ultimate pampering experience with a hint of whimsy. These may include Kensington Kelly cupcakes, Kensington Kelly embroidered bathrobes and slippers, and a charming afternoon tea set to be enjoyed in the suite’s sitting room. For younger guests, a Kensington Kelly Doll can be added to the mix.
