Families can take Metrolink, Metro to 2018 Tournament of Roses® celebrations
Los Angeles CA— Metrolink will offer special holiday service for the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, which will allow people to attend the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade® in Pasadena.
On Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1, Metrolink will operate the same schedule it runs on Sundays on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire-Orange County at regular weekday fares. Trains will not operate on the Ventura County Line or the Riverside Line, or to the four stations on the Perris Valley Line extension.
To serve the 129th Rose Parade on Monday, Jan. 1, the first train on Metrolink’s San Bernardino Line will depart San Bernardino – Downtown at 6:05 a.m. making all station stops. The special train will arrive at L.A. Union Station at 7:45 a.m.
On the Antelope Valley Line, the first train will depart Lancaster at 5:40 a.m., arriving at L.A. Union Station at 7:40 a.m.
On the 91/Perris Valley Line, special train 749X will depart Riverside – Downtown at 5 a.m. and arrive at L.A. Union Station at 6:30 a.m. Special train 750X will depart L.A. Union Station at 1:00 p.m. and arrive at Riverside – Downtown at 2:30 p.m.
From L.A. Union Station, passengers can transfer at no cost to the Metro Gold Line. The parade route is a short walk from Del Mar, Memorial Park, Lake or Allen stations.
Metrolink passengers going to the 104th Rose Bowl Game® can take the Gold Line from L.A. Union Station, stopping at the Memorial Park Station in Pasadena. Free shuttles to the stadium will be available.
Metrolink will resume normal service on all lines Tuesday, Jan. 2.
