Riders benefit from Metrolink’s $10 Weekend Day Pass
Oceanside CA— Southern California residents can take a relaxing ride on Metrolink to beach attractions or to Los Angeles Union Station and transfer at no additional cost to Metro’s light rail and subway system. Passengers can spend the day visiting popular destinations and attractions in Downtown L.A. and Hollywood, including:
- Olvera Street
- Chinatown
- Disney Concert Hall
- Hollywood Walk of Fame and attractions
- Universal Studios
- Madame Tussauds (wax attractions) in Hollywood
- L.A. LIVE (The GRAMMY® Museum, restaurants, Regal Theaters)
There is no greater value than the $10 Weekend Day Pass, which allows families and friends to be adventurous while saving time, money and avoiding traffic. Metrolink Monthly Pass holders can also take advantage of unlimited systemwide travel on Saturdays and Sundays at no additional cost.
On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, Metrolink will provide more service than previous years with train schedules regularly available on Sundays. This year, Metrolink trains on the San Bernardino Line will also stop at the Los Angeles County Fair on Labor Day.
The Labor Day schedule includes service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, the 91/Perris Valley and the Inland Empire-Orange County lines. Trains will not operate on the Ventura County Line nor the Riverside Line, or to the four stations on the Perris Valley Line extension. Regular Monday fares are in effect; no Sunday/Weekend Day Pass discount.
Due to expected high levels of ridership on Amtrak trains Labor Day weekend, Metrolink’s Rail 2 Rail® program agreement with Amtrak will be partially suspended. Starting Friday, Sept. 1, until Monday, Sept. 4, Metrolink monthly passes will only be accepted on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner® trains 761 and 796, as well as all Amtrak 500 series trains.
Regular Metrolink service will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
