UPDATE: Last night (08/31/21), just before midnight, LAPD contacted OPD to inform them that they located missing-at-risk, Edgar Cruz. Cruz was on a city bus in Los Angeles and the bus driver noticed he appeared disoriented. The bus driver called LAPD. LAPD responded and took Cruz into protective custody.
OPD units drove to Irvine where they met LAPD officers and took custody of Cruz. Cruz was returned safely to his home in Oceanside.
Oceanside CA—Missing Person At Risk – Edgar Cruz, 73-years-old left his residence at 3200 Mission Cove Way on 8-31-21 at 11:00am. He is currently not in possession of necessary medication and has been diagnosed with Alzheimers.
He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’09” 160lbs with salt/pepper hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue long sleeve zip up sweater, blue jeans, dark grey/blue baseball hat, uses glasses and had a black or white mask. He has a bus pass and currency with him.
