Minor Schedule Changes Planned as Part of Regular October Service Updates

Oceanside CA— The North County Transit District (NCTD) will implement minor schedule changes for BREEZE fixed-route bus service effective Sunday, October 4, 2020. The BREEZE service changes are designed to provide better trip reliability and improve connectivity to the SPRINTER, COASTER, and other BREEZE routes.
“NCTD regularly monitors service performance and makes necessary updates twice a year to ensure the best possible trip experience for our riders,” said NCTD Chief of Planning, Strategy, and Innovation Robert Calix. “It’s important to NCTD that our riders are able to make their connections to other services and that they can count on NCTD to get where they need to go in a timely manner.”
The minor schedule adjustments include weekend and weekday service and will be implemented throughout North County in the cities of Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, and along the North Coast Corridor. The updated 2020 Rider’s Guide will show BREEZE “school tripper” service, but this service will only run while schools are in session for in-person learning and will be subject to change based on bell times. NCTD will update trip planning applications and the GoNCTD.com website when this service returns.
There will be no changes to the SPRINTER or current COASTER schedules for the October service change. COASTER is currently operating on a reduced schedule due to COVID-19, and service reductions for COASTER trains will remain in effect.
