Oceanside CA— Late this morning, June 6, 2019 just before noon, Oceanside Police responded to a call of a person not breathing at 3229 Mission Cove Way.

When officers arrived, they found the 41-year-old male victim lying on the floor of the apartment deceased. The victim had sustained trauma to his upper body.
The victim was visiting the apartment renter who is identified as Michael Newton, age 66. Investigators determined that Michael Newton was responsible for the victims death and he was arrested.
The case investigation is ongoing by this departments Crimes of Violence Unit.
