Los Angeles CA— Due to expected high ridership over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the Rail 2 Rail® program will be suspended for all Amtrak Pacific Surfliner® trains between Oceanside and Ventura from Wednesday, Nov. 21 through Monday, Nov.26. The Rail 2 Rail® program will resume on Tuesday, Nov.27.
The Rail 2 Rail® program typically allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders along the Orange County and Ventura County line corridors to travel on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner® trains within the station pairs of their pass at no additional charge.
On Thanksgiving Day, Metrolink will offer its Sunday schedule with service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino and Orange County lines. The Sunday schedule will also be available on the 91/Perris Valley Line, except for the stations at Riverside-Hunter Park/UCR, Moreno Valley/March Field, Perris-Downtown and Perris-South, where no stops will be made.
There will be no service on the Ventura County and Riverside lines on Thanksgiving Day.
The $10 weekend day pass will be available for purchase on Nov. 22. Regular Metrolink service resumes on Friday, Nov.23.
