Bonsall CA— On Monday, November 5, 2018, at approximately 2:00 p.m., deputies assigned to the Fallbrook Substation responded to assist California Highway Patrol on a traffic related death investigation in the 30000 block of Calle La Reina in Bonsall.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered the accident was not traffic related. A witness was working on the property in the groves with the homeowner. The homeowner was operating a John Deer tractor on a steep hill when it suddenly started accelerating down the hill. The tractor went off the road, down an embankment and flipped several times causing the operator to be thrown from the tractor.
North County Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the homeowner deceased at 2:20 p.m.
The Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting the investigation and will release the victim’s information after notifications have been made.
