Oceanside CA— An estimate 20,000 people lined the Coast Highway on Saturday for the annual Oceanside Independence Parade. The event, produced by MainStreet Oceanside was carried live by KOCT and they will be replaying the event numerous times throughout July and on demand at KOCT.org.
This years theme was “Hometown Heroes” with former Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood as Grand Marshal. Also honored were former OUSD Superintendent, Dr. Duane Coleman and former Parks and Recreation Division Manager, Eileen Turk.
