Victim sustained life threatening gunshot wound

Oceanside CA— Early this morning at 1:05a.m. March 22, 2018, Oceanside Police responded to a call of a person down in the Ron Ortega Park located 200 Brooks Street.

A witness discovered a victim who had sustained a life threatening gunshot to his upper body.  The male victim was transported to the hospital and is currently being treated. Oceanside Police do not have any information on a suspect at this time.
Oceanside Police Detectives are currently investigating the shooting and are asking for the community’s help.
