Oceanside CA— Early this morning, June 30th, 2017 at approximately 1:07 am Oceanside Police Officers responded to a radio call of subject who was down on the ground in the west alley of the 300 block of S. Coast Highway.
OPD Officers and Paramedics arrived on scene and found a 20-year-old Black male on the ground. Paramedics rendered medical aid and the injured person was subsequently transported to a local area hospital for further medical treatment. Once at the hospital, Doctors determined the injured person’s injuries were consistent with that of an assault. The injured person was also placed on life support and is currently in critical condition.
The victim in this case has been identified, but his name is not being released pending notifications of his family members. Oceanside Police Detectives responded to the scene early this morning and are currently conducting a follow-up investigation.
