Bonsall CA— Early this morning, Sunday June 25, 2017 at approximately 3:42 am., 33-year-old Vista resident, Raul Barajas Dominguez was driving his 2012 Chevy Silverado pick-up northbound on East Vista Way at an unknown speed.
For reasons still under investigation Dominguez ran the red light at SR-76 and collided broadside into a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, traveling westbound on SR-76, driven by a 61-year old-male from Bonsall.
Unfortunately, the unidentified Bonsall resident died at the scene.
Raul Barajas Dominguez was transported to Palomar Hospital with moderate injuries and as soon as he is released, he will be booked into Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of Felony Driving
Under the Influence of Alcohol.
This collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
