Carlsbad CA— On Sunday afternoon, March 12 at 5:00 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department was called to the intersection of Pio Pico Drive and Chestnut Avenue regarding a single vehicle traffic collision.
The Police Department was also notified that the driver of the vehicle had walked onto the Interstate 5 freeway.
Arriving officers found that a single vehicle had collided with a wall.
Officers searched the area and found a 36-year-old, white male sitting outside the railing of the Chestnut Avenue Interstate 5 southbound overpass. The male was threatening to jump from the overpass.
