San Marcos CA— San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted in connection with an assault with great bodily injury.
The assault with great bodily injury incident happened on September 28, 2016 at about 8:15 p.m. at the Chevron Gas Station, located 1200 W. San Marcos Boulevard in San Marcos. An unknown Black male entered the gas station and immediately punched the clerk several times, knocking him to the ground. The clerk hit his head on the floor and was knocked unconscious. The suspect then kicked the unconscious clerk on the side of the head and was last seen getting into the passenger’s side of a light-colored sedan. The driver of the sedan was a woman who had previously entered the gas station to purchase beer.
The clerk required medical attention and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He suffered bruising and swelling to the right side of his face, a cut on the back of his head that required staples, and bleeding inside his skull on the left side of his brain.
The suspect was described as an African-American man between 20-30 years-old, 6’ tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He had long dreadlocks, was wearing a yellow t-shirt and black shorts.
His female companion was described as a Caucasian woman, standing about 5’5” tall and weighing 160 pounds. She has brown hair and was wearing a black bandana on top of her head. She was last seen wearing a black tank top and black pants.
The vehicle that the suspect and his companion were driving is described as an unknown light colored sedan.
