Vista CA— The San Diego County Medical Examiner has released the name of the driver killed in a two car collision in Vista, on April 9, 2016, as 35 year-old Richard One Lee.
The Vista resident was the restrained driver of a small Honda sedan which was involved in a motor vehicle accident with another small sedan, a BMW, at the intersection of South Santa Fe Avenue and Civic Center Drive.
Bystanders called 9-1-1 after they heard the collision and Vista Fire Department paramedics along with San Diego County Deputies were dispatched to the scene.
Paramedics arrived to find the decedent in the driver portion of his vehicle, which was severely damaged and entangled with a signal light post. His death was pronounced at the scene and the cause of death, determined by the Medical Examiner, was due to multiple blunt force injuries.
The driver, and sole occupant of the BMW, was transported to Palomar Medical Center with serious life threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown at this time.
