Oceanside CA— From the Avocado Festival in Fallbrook to the Earth Day Festival in San Diego, the weekend was full of events throughout the county. Below are some snapshots from just a few events that happened in Oceanside over the weekend of April 17, 2016.
Relay for Life
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Oceanside is a 24-hour event which began at 10:00am on Saturday and ran until 10:00am Sunday, on the MiraCosta College Football Field. Volunteers and participants from the community gathered celebrate cancer survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and raised money to save more lives from cancer. A small village sprung up on the football to house the participants of the relay. Luminary, decorated with photos and messages to loved ones, lined the entire track lighting the way for participants walking fundraising laps.
