Oceanside CA—After the first glimpse of an El Niño lashing last week, it’s an important reminder for Oceanside residents and businesses to prepare for the next set of winter storms.
Oceanside crews have been making preparations a priority. The clearing of storm drains is ongoing, and the Army Corps of Engineers have recently cleared seven miles of vegetation along the San Luis Rey River to aide in flood prevention. The City’s emergency responders have plans in place and will be monitoring flood-prone areas. Public Works will continue to evaluate streets and remove debris from roads and storm drains when the next storm arrives.
Does your family or business have an emergency plan? Are you prepared for possible flooding?

Moody’s Recycling at El Corazon 3210 Oceanside Boulevard also has free sand and bags, or pre-filled sandbags for $1.50 each.
