Carlsbad CA— Today, at 4:23 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Fire Department responded to a report of a helicopter crash at McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad.
Two fatalities have been confirmed. No other aircraft appear to be involved and the airport will remained closed until further notice.
The cause has not been determined and will be investigated by the NTSB.
The fire was contained. No structures were involved.
The Carlsbad Fire Department was assisted by crews from Vista, San Marcos and Palomar Airport. More information as it becomes available.
