Carlsbad CA— On Wednesday night, September 23 at 8:20 p.m. the City of Carlsbad Police Department received notification from the City of Oceanside Police Department of a bomb threat at the Westfield Carlsbad Mall.
An unknown male suspect called 9-1-1 and reported a bomb threat at the J.C. Penney store in the Westfield Carlsbad Mall to the City of Oceanside Police Department Communication Center.
Carlsbad Police Officers responded to the J.C. Penney store at the Westfield Carlsbad Mall. Carlsbad Fire Department also responded. J.C. Penney evacuated all occupants of the store. Carlsbad Police Officers searched J.C. Penney and did not locate any suspicious items.
