Oceanside CA— For the first time ever, the MiraCosta College Hospitality Management Program will offer two fully online certificate programs starting this fall. Classes begin August 24.
“Most of our students work in the industry and have bizarre hours,” said Al Taccone, dean of Career and Technical Education (CTE). “We wanted to offer them classes that are more convenient for them so they can earn their certificate on time.”
Beginning in fall semester, students can earn either a hospitality management or restaurant management certificate online. The certificates can be used to in the hospitality industry for positions such as front office; reservations; sales; marketing; customer service; and management positions in hotels, restaurants, theme parks, attractions, clubs, and casinos.
This fall’s online class offerings include HOSP 100, HOSP 110, HOSP 120, HOSP 128, HOSP 134 and HOSP 150. New students can apply at miracosta.edu/apply. Current students can enroll at surf.miracosta.edu.
