Vista CA— On June 2, 2015, at approximately 10:41p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of shots fired at the Chevron gas station, located 224 Emerald Drive. Upon their arrival Deputies located two victims who stated they had just been carjacked by two unknown males. One suspect was armed with a handgun and during the argument the suspect discharged his firearm. The victims jumped out of the vehicle and the suspect fled southbound on Emerald Drive.
At approximately 10:49 p.m., Deputies received information that CHP was enroute to a solo vehicle collision at 1893 Sunset Drive; which was not too far from the crime scene. Deputies responded and found the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle had crashed into a pole and was disabled.
No one was located inside the vehicle. Per a witness the vehicle’s occupants exited the crashed vehicle and got into a small red sedan. No suspects are not in custody. Vista Detectives responded to the scene and are handling the investigation.
