Oceanside CA— On Tuesday March 11, 2015 at 10:03 a.m. a threat to bomb El Camino High School in Oceanside was posted on Burn Book. This morning a concerned parent showed the threat to Officer Estrada at the school.
Officer Estrada is part of the School Safety Enhancement Team. He contacted the owner of Burn Book by phone in Maryland. The owner was cooperative and provided the IP address for the source. Officer Estrada then contacted AT&T who gave him the name and address of the owner of the phone. He then discovered the 14 year old male student living at the address had been suspended today for bringing a knife to campus.
Officer Estrada and Detective Provence went to the address and contacted the mother, whose son was home. The son admitted to posting the threat. He was arrested and transported to Juvenile Hall. The phone was booked into evidence.
