Upgrades will achieve seismic compliance by 2030 and include a new Emergency Department and parking garage
Oceanside CA— The Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors gave approval to Tri-City Medical Center CEO Tim Moran during its Jan. 29 district board meeting to start a campus redevelopment plan.
“The Board desires an updated plan which will meet the health care needs of our citizens due to the ongoing changes in healthcare needs for the future as well as addressing the seismic requirements that must be met by 2030,”said District Board Chair Larry Schallock.
Plan considerations, along with seismic compliance, would include a new Emergency Department as well as a parking structure.
“The Emergency Department is a key area of concern and one of our highest priorities, which are always patient safety and timely access,” said Moran. “In addition, our new facilities will need to ensure patient privacy and comfort, provide easy parking access for the elderly and handicapped, and meet the needs of our employees.”
