Oceanside CA— On Friday, December 12, 2014, at approximately 5:25 a.m. Oceanside Police Officers responded to the Naval Hospital on Camp Pendleton to conduct an investigation of suspicious circumstances involving a 7 month old infant who was brought in for a medical emergency.
Due to the child’s medical condition, he was flown to Rady’s Children’s Hospital for treatment. At approximately 09:15 a.m., the Oceanside Police Department was notified the infant had died as a result of the injuries.
Detectives responded to investigate the incident. A potential crime scene was processed for evidence, and witnesses were interviewed.
During the interview of the child’s father, Stanford Morocho, he made incriminating statements regarding this incident. Based on the entirety of this investigation of the infant homicide, Morocho was subsequently arrested for PC 187 Murder and booked into the Vista Detention Facility. This investigation is ongoing.
