Election Results at a Glance
Oceanside CA— The balance of power has shifted, nationally, to the right while the Oceanside City Council swung left with the election of Chuck Lowery. Lowery joins incumbent Jerry Kern, who was second in yesterday’s voting for the two seats up for grabs in the Oceanside City Council race.
Less than 1,140 votes separate the top four in the Tri-City Healthcare Board race with Jim Dagostino(21,201), Laura Mitchell(20,326), Cyril F. Kellett(20,301) and Paul Campo(20,062) being the top four. The top three get seats on the board.
Larry W. Schallock (22,206) and Ramona B. Finnila(19,081) were the top two for the short-term seats on the board.
Less than a 1,000 votes separate the top three and just twenty votes separate the second and third place candidates in the race for two seats on the Vista City Council. John J. Aguilera is the at top with 27% and 4,901 votes. Dave Cowles has 3,923 with John Franklin at 3,903 for the second available seat.
The polls closed at 8:00pm in California on Tuesday and by 8:01pm, the Associated Press had called the Governors race for Jerry Brown. Brown will serve a record fourth term as Governor.
