Oceanside CA – On September 12, 2014 detectives and officers of the Oceanside Police Department made an arrest in the murder of the 22 month old toddler, who was killed September 10, 2014.
Detectives arrested Rivas who was taken into custody at Tri City Medical Center and transported to the Oceanside Police Department. She will be booked on a violation of PC 187 – murder.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 7:45 p.m., officers of the Oceanside Police Department responded to a call regarding CPR in progress to a residence at 330 Woodpark Way. Officers immediately began CPR on the 22 month old male juvenile.
Oceanside Fire Department paramedics arrived and continued life-saving measures. The child was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. Officers found the 28 year old mother, Veronica Rivas unconscious and unresponsive in a downstairs room. Original story can be found here [Link]
