Carlsbad CA — The City of Carlsbad Police Department will host the San Diego County Motor Officers’ Association “Terry Bennett Memorial Police Motorcycle Training and Competition.” on August 22-23, 2014
The Police Department and the SDCMOA is inviting the public to attend the 13th annual event which will take place on Armada Drive in Carlsbad.
Guests will watch highly skilled law enforcement officers from throughout the southwestern United States and Mexico test their skills in a spirited competition. The events will include both individual and team timed tracks of obstacle courses. Officers compete against their own best times, the times of other riders and in the spirit of competition, departments compete for the title in each event.
“This is a great opportunity for officers to test the riding safety skills they practice every day,” said Police Department Traffic Sergeant Paul Reyes. “It is also an exciting chance for the public to see the skills necessary to manipulate these heavy motorcycles while on duty.”
