Fallbrook CA– Last night, Thursday June 12, at approximately 10:25, deputies assigned to the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation received a radio call to respond to Fallbrook Hospital to investigate an assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies responded to the hospital and learned that the victim had sustained multiple stab wounds at a nearby location. The victim stated that several unknown Hispanic males issued him a gang challenge, and then assaulted him. The victim was able to walk away from the scene and was transported by a family member to the hospital.
The victim was subsequently transported via air ambulance to Palomar Medical Center for treatment. A crime scene was located at the 1100 Block of S. Vine Street in Fallbrook. No suspect(s) have been identified and the investigation is on-going. The victims condition is unknown at this time.
