Oceanside CA– On June 23, 2014 at 2:45 a.m. officers responded to a call of a robbery in a public parking lot near Pierview and Pacific. The female victim was purchasing a parking permit when she was confronted by the suspect. The suspect demanded her wallet. Fearing for her safety, the victim gave him her wallet. She did not see any weapons.
The investigating officer, Emerson Goldtooth, broadcasted a description of the suspect. Officer Matt Byrd located a person matching that description three blocks away and detained him for a field line-up. The victim positively identified the suspect and he was taken into custody.
Marshawn Boyd-Miller was arrested for robbery and a parole violation. He was booked at the Vista Detention Facility.
