Oceanside CA— Veterans Association of North County(VANC) is expanding their training courses to include a Cyber-security Certificate Training Program.
The program is for veterans and current military who will soon be transitioning into the civilian workforce.
The new certification program will prepare individuals for the Security+ Certification Examination. Courses are taught by a 20-year Marine Corps combat veteran with 15 years experience supporting USMC, Navy, and DoD information security. He has extensive experience in all aspects of System Security and holds all Certifications in this field.
Classes will be held at the Veterans Resource Center, 1617 Mission Avenue, Oceanside beginning August 29, 2016.
The training courses are open to beginning and experienced individuals interested in employment in Cyber-security.
Evening classes will be offered twice a week and on Saturdays. Intensive hands-on training will prepare the student for well-paying jobs in this field.
Other courses at the Center include; Fiber Optics Cabling Training; MIT-FFAD (Military in Transition-Firefighter For a Day) or Paramedic officers; CTAP (Career Transitioning Assistance); Culinary Arts Certificate training; Electronic Assemblers; Veterans Writing Group; Yoga Classes; as well as other training classes in cooperation with Mira Costa College.
