EVEN THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY CANNOT STOP OUR DEMOCRACY IN ACTION.
The offices of our City Clerk, Zeb Navarro, has released an important message as below presented. This office of the City Clerk is one of those offices which the good people of O’side voted to maintain as an elected office, during that recent elections process just past by burying Measure K with a strong NO vote.
In my opinion, it is thanks to the fact that no one can stop this information from being disseminated to us by firing the Independently Elected City Clerk that we have this information. FOR NO ONE CAN SIMPLY FIRE AN ELECTED OFFICIAL, an HONEST elected official like our City Clerk, Mr. Zeb Navarro!!
If the City Council majority of Weiss, Feller and Rodriquez, who voted as a majority to allow the developer, Intergral Communities and their destructive NRF scheme into Morro Hills, does not vote to recognize this voice of We The People, and rescind their Intergral developer driven vote…….We Must Vote It Out Of Existence In The Upcoming November 2020 General Election !!
We may soon see if they rescind that poor decision or not. The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25. This Council meeting will be a bit unusual to say the least, due to Covid-19 restrictions and attendant difficulties. It may be viewed on KOCT television channel 19 live at 6:00 PM. You may call in with your 3 minute comment on the telephone. These instructions are available to all on the city website now. The discussion of this subject, the anti-NRF petition action by We The People to place this City Council decision on the ballot in November, which Council decision is officially designated as Oceanside City Council Ordinance No.19-OR0729-1, is scheduled for City Council discussion as Item 19 (coincidentally numbered 19, ha?!) in the General subjects category for that meeting beginning at 6:00 PM, which will be televised on Channel 19.

Below is the detail letter from our County Registrar of Voters to the Elected City Clerk announcing the signature results of the petition drive by We The People to make this a ballot issue in November.

Remember folks; 2020 means CLEAR VISION………A CLEAR and honest vision without any hidden or self serving agenda. Do not fall for any phony rhetoric or attack ads in November, 2020.
The landslide defeat of Measure K which was placed upon the ballot by elements of the City Council and defeated by a resounding majority of 75.19% of O’side voters is a strong message to our current City Government. We will not be duped, we are not sheeple, we will vote!
BTW………You may notice the annotations in this message below on Mr. Navarro’s web signature, it is above The Seal of The City of Oceanside and reads thus…“Integrity-Accuracy-Independence”.
THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT FOLKS!!
Hunker down, hang on tight, and watch your six. We will live on and survive to vote in November….GOOD LUCK ALL!!!!
