Our City Council is become a travesty of democratic principles in this matter, in my opinion, all for the sake of MONEY, in my opinion. Newly elected City Council member Christopher Rodriquez declared to the citizens on speaker, Wednesday., Jan. 25, 2019 just past……”I have a passion and desire to make Oceanside the most business friendly and development friendly city in San Diego County……..we’re going to make a lot of money for our city…….and we’re gonna find the money”.
WHAT ABOUT LIFE STYLE FRIENDLY, HUH?
Does this man think he is on the City Council of the big City of Los Angeles?
Because a place like that is where the really BIG MONEY is. NOT in little old beach’y, quiet, USMC base adjacent and farm’y pastoral Oceanside. A small city of less than 180,000 population. Does anyone in this nice, small town atmosphere city want to live in CROWDED Los Angeles, or CROWDED Orange County even, LOL!? It is a crying shame that Measure Y was not passed by the electorate so as to make these kind of changes of this magnitude literally THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE, by way of a direct vote……SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!!!!!!!
