Oceanside CA— On Wednesday, February 16th, the Republican Club of North County (RCNC) welcomes Lakeside School Board Trustee, Andrew Hayes! With a local and national focus on parents/school board relationships, this is a unique opportunity to hear directly from a school board trustee. Andrew will focus on the role of school board members, current issues in education such as government mandates, and how he works to push back on key issues with the current leadership in Sacramento.
Andrew Hayes is a native of East County San Diego. He grew up and attended school in Lakeside, and then went on two earn two bachelor’s degrees from the University of San Diego. In 2014, he joined the legislative office of then California State Senator, Joel Anderson. In 2018, Andrew was hired by Senator Brian Jones and currently serves as the Senator’s District Director acting as a liaison between the Senator and over 900,000 constituents in eastern and northern San Diego.
In addition to his legislative work, Andrew has managed successful campaigns, most recently that of County Supervisor Joel Anderson. In December 2018, he was elected to the Lakeside Union School District Board of Trustees and was recently selected to serve as the Board President. He is a proud member of the Lakeside Historical Society, Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club, and the Lakeside Kiwanis Club.
The Republican Club of North County (RCNC) believes in Republican values: individual responsibility, personal freedoms, limited government, a market economy, low taxes, and a strong national defense. RCNC meets the third Wednesday of each month at El Camino Country Club, 3202 Vista Way, Oceanside CA 92056. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. on February 16th, lunch is served at 12:00 noon, and our speaker begins at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $30 per person. Cash or check only at the door (credit cards not accepted).
