Oceanside CA— Featured speakers on Wednesday, July 15, are Rocky Chávez, Board Member of Tri-City Medical District, Jack Feller, Deputy Mayor Councilmember of City of Oceanside, and Christopher Rodriguez, Councilman of the City of Oceanside. They are Republican 2020 Candidates for Mayor of Oceanside.
Rocky was commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1974. He retired from the Marine Corps in 2001 as a Colonel and was first elected to the Oceanside City Council in November of 2002. Rocky represented the California Assembly 76th district from 2012 to 2018.
Jack was elected to the Oceanside City Council in November of 2000. He has served on many Oceanside Commissions. His knowledge of local government and the private sector is balanced by his experience as a businessman. He sold his business, Port of Subs, in 2004 after 10 years.
Christopher served two combat tours in Iraq with the Marine Corps. After leaving the Marine Corps, he started a Mortgage & Real Estate firm in 2007. He is a small business owner and past board member of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. Councilmember Rodriguez was elected in November 2018.
