Vista CA—The State and County of San Diego have granted permission for the slow reopening of parks and a variety of other services. In response, the City of Vista is now offering summer day camps with health and safety modifications in place.
Registration is underway for the City’s Summer Day Camps for youngsters in grades K through eighth grade. Weekly camps are offered June 8 – August 14 at the Jim Porter Recreation Center, 1200 Vale Terrace Dr., Vista. Fees per week are $180 for Vista residents and $220 for all others.
- Day Camps are operated under the guidelines of the current health order from the State of California and the County of San Diego. The City’s Recreation Department has instituted health and safety protocol that will apply to parents, campers, and staff. The guidelines are available at cityofvista.com/daycamp.
- Camps will be divided by age group and include sports, games, arts and crafts, and other age-appropriate activities. Camps are weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with extended care at no additional cost starting at 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
- Each camp is limited to 12 campers.
