Rossel & Company to host event at Wild Barrel Brewing
San Marcos CA— Rossel & Company is a small family-owned business located in North County San Diego, and is the home of the Bountiful Bag Upcycling Program. To celebrate their first year in
business, and in honor of Earth Month, Rossel & Company will be hosting an event at Wild Barrel Brewing, 692 Rancheros Dr, San Marcos on Sunday, April 14, 2019, from 2 PM to 6 PM.
“Here at Wild Barrel Brewing Company, we are very excited to be a part of The Bountiful Bag upcycling program. Not only do we carry the bags in our tasting room, but we are also hosting
their first event. I hope to see all of our fans come out and support this great cause. Cheers!” – “Dr.” BillSysak, CEO and Co-Founder at Wild Barrel Brewing Company.
The event will feature green local businesses such as Sonora Refillery, Love Punched, Ivy & Squid, Onan Classics and Second Chance Lamps. They will also host an Art Show in which the bags will be used as canvases. There will be raffle prizes, an educational booth by I Love a Clean San Diego, a photo booth provided by My DJ’s, and a grazing table by Mara Bleu Catering.
100% of the proceeds from the art show and raffle will be donated to their partners I Love A Clean San Diego non-profit in their continued efforts to keeping our beautiful city clean.
Sisters Fiorella Rossel Borkert and Romina Rossel founded this sustainability program in April of 2018 with a mission to make a positive environmental impact in the craft beer industry. The program consists of repurposing grain bags used by local breweries in the production of craft beer, and turning them into functional lifestyle products such as tote bags, backpacks, pouches and duffle bags. A portion of the proceeds is donated to I Love A Clean San Diego, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of the environment.
“I’ve always been interested in a more green approach to fashion, and was constantly looking for ways to repurpose materials. When I learned about the abundance of these bags and the fact that they are not recyclable in California, I was motivated to design as many products as possible. The material is extremely durable and versatile. You could throw our bags off a cliff and the cliff will break!” Fiorella Rossel Borkert, Executive Creator at Rossel & Company.
This past year, Rossel & Company has partnered with eleven environmentally conscious breweries that supply the material for their production. They have also joined the San Diego Brewers Guild and Pink Boots Society.
Only 6 months after starting their program, Rossel & Company was presented with the 2018 Zero Waste Innovation Award by I Love A Clean San Diego. “Our vision for The Bountiful Bag program doesn’t end with a fashionable product line. We want to start a green movement in an industry that is thriving and positively impacting the local economy. Our goal is to continue to raise
awareness, and help it also become a more environmentally responsible industry.” – Romina Rossel, Chief Marketing Officer at Rossel & Company.
