Oceanside CA— The 2018 Miss Oceanside and Miss Teen Oceanside Scholarship Pageant, sponsored by the Oceanside Sea Lions will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018, 6:00 pm at the James Truax Performing Arts Center, 400 Rancho Del Oro, in Oceanside. Proceeds from the pageant go to scholarships for the winners and Lions charities.

The theme of the 2018 pageant will be ‘Celebrating 50 years of Service’ in honor of the Oceanside Sea Lions club celebrating their 50th anniversary.
The Oceanside Sea Lions is one of over 46,000 Lions Clubs worldwide, with over 1.4 million members.
The reigning Miss Teen Oceanside is Lauren Bell and Miss Oceanside is Maggie Islas. The winners of the pageant become goodwill ambassadors for the City of Oceanside, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and the Oceanside Sea Lions and appear at various city and community’ events during community service.
Country Music Hall of Fame inductee and two time Country Music Association ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’, Barbara Mandrell was crowned Miss Oceanside in 1965.
