Escondido CA— The Escondido Union School District (EUSD) and the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, are proud to announce the sixth annual smART Festival to be held on Saturday, March 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the California Center for the Arts (340 N. Escondido Blvd).
The Festival showcases the art of talented students from each of 23 EUSD schools. In addition to two- and three-dimensional artwork on display, the Festival includes the My Story photographic art exhibit of EUSD fifth graders. The event also includes live dance, theater, instrumental music, and band performances by EUSD students on the main stage of the Center for the Arts’ Conference Center.
The Festival is made possible through a partnership between EUSD and the California Center for the Arts. The partnership provides arts education to youth in EUSD schools. “EUSD’s longstanding partnership with the Center for the Arts opens doors for our students to explore and express their artistic creativity,” said Luis Ibarra, Superintendent of EUSD. “We are proud of this partnership that provides our students with quality arts education and the opportunity to grow and excel artistically.”
The smART Festival is made possible through the support of the California Arts Council, the County of San Diego, and the San Diego County Credit Union.
The Escondido Union School District, in partnership with children, employees, parents, and community members, is committed to actualize the unlimited potential of every learner at all 23 schools though high-quality rigorous instruction, a safe and secure environment, fiscal responsibility, and a collaborative and diverse culture which promotes creativity, responsibility, and trust among all stakeholders.
