Friday, February 9, 9:30 am – 12 pm. San Diego Botanic Garden, Ecke Building. Paperwork and background check ($17) may be completed and orientation.

Saturday, February 17, 8-11 am. This year the event will be staged at San Dieguito Heritage Museum, 400 Quail Gardens Drive, with the walk commencing through the Garden through a side entrance to Hamilton Children’s Garden. Members: SDBB Adult $21, Adult Member/Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) Volunteer $21; SDBG Member Youth $21, Youth Member/RCHS Volunteer $14. Non-members to either organization Adult $32 and Youth $21.
5K Paw Walk in the Garden. Once a year, San Diego Botanic Garden opens the gate to our furry friends and their families. Dogs are encouraged to bring their owners to enjoy the 5K walk as well as pet products, doggie treats, people food and other great items for dog lovers. The walk is limited to 2 dogs per person. Vaccinated and well-behaved dogs only. No dogs in heat. This event is co-hosted by Rancho Coastal Humane Society, with proceeds going to both non-profit organizations.

Garden Tapestries from Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Center in Giza, Egypt. Back by popular demand are the garden-themed tapestries from the Rameses Wissa Wassef Art Center in Giza, Egypt! The Egyptian artists in this exhibit vividly celebrate the flowers of the desert, villages and Nile River in their work. These tapestries are available for purchase with most of the proceeds going to support the artists – many of whom work on these tapestries for up to 2 years! Last year, these tapestries almost completely sold out. Come early for the best selection. Some dates/times the Tapestry exhibit will be closed due to previously scheduled meetings. Sculpture in the Garden. This unique exhibition showcases 52 sculptures from more than 30 talented artists – including renowned local artist James Hubbell – set against the beautiful backdrop of the San Diego Botanic Garden. Take a self-guided tour with the Garden’s Sculpture Map. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, 12:30 – 4 pm & Wednesday, February 21, 12:30 – 4 pm. San Diego Botanic Garden. 230 Quail Gardens Drive. SDBG members $75; non-members $90 plus a $60 materials fee paid directly to the instructor on the day of class.
