SDCCU launches Holiday Toy Drive benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and Children’s Hospital of Orange County

San Diego County CA— San Diego County Credit Union^® (SDCCU^®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, has launched its seventh annual Holiday Toy Drive benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s).
Through Dec. 31, 2017, every one of SDCCU’s 43 convenient branch locations throughout Southern California will serve as an authorized drop-off location for new, unwrapped toys. All toys will be donated to the two hospitals.
“We hope to make the day a little brighter for young patients at Rady Children’s Hospital and CHOC Children’s Hospital,” said Teresa Halleck, SDCCU president and CEO. “We encourage the community to stop by any of our branch locations to donate a toy—a small gesture to put big smiles on the faces of courageous youngsters who find themselves in need of pediatric healthcare.”
Donated items may be used throughout the year as gifts to individual patients in various age groups. In addition, donated items may be utilized in playrooms and support groups as in-room activities for patients and in conjunction with therapies. The hospitals cannot accept stuffed animals or violent-themed toys, such as guns, etc.
Last holiday season, SDCCU’s customers and employees donated nearly 800 toys in support of SDCCU’s sixth annual Holiday Toy Drive.
