Oceanside CA— Republican Club of Ocean Hills (RCOH) is pleased to welcome Richard Rider as our keynote speaker at the November meeting. As a strong advocate for taxpayers, Rider constantly monitors how California stacks up against the rest of the country. On November 15th, Rider will address “California vs. the Other States—Taxes, Regulations, and Irritation.” Don’t miss this lively presentation of issues important to you and your family. Rider will also discuss the latest GOP proposed federal tax reform.
Richard Rider served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 26 years and is a Vietnam veteran. He is also a retired stockbroker and Certified Financial Planner. Currently Rider is President of Economy Telcom, a family business brokering telecommunications services nationwide.
In the late 90s, Rider successfully sued the county of San Diego to force a rollback of an illegal ½ percent sales tax, saving taxpayers thousands of dollars. He is a lifetime member of the International Association of Financial Planners, and is currently actively involved in the National Taxpayers Union, San Diego Tax Fighters, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, and the Libertarian Party.
Rider is married and has two adult sons.
