Oceanside CA— Two years ago, a near fatal surfing accident suffered by Chris Abad rallied the Oceanside surf community to get together and support him through a long and now complete recovery. To thank everyone, Chris and that same community of surfers called the Oceanside Social Club are rallying together again to give back to the Oceanside community they love so
much.
The third annual Oceanside Social Club Golf Benefit will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Goat Hill Park in Oceanside.
With the same goal in mind as last year, the plan is to enjoy a fun-filled day celebrating the community while whacking down 18 holes with friends.
As last year, the benefit will raise funds for college scholarships that will promote and encourage young Oceanside surfers from local high schools to achieve college aspirations and career goals. All proceeds from the entry fees, after party, and raffle will help motivate young surfers from Oceanside and El Camino High School pay for a college education and make the future of Oceanside
brighter.
Only 72 spots are open this year, so sign up now at www.surfride.com/golf. Golfers get 18 holes of golf, an event t-shirt, lunch, dinner and beer at a cost of $100 per player. Teams of four cost $350, Corporate teams are $400 and include a hole sponsorship with mandatory tent, signage or hole activation, plus a raffle donation.
The event is coming fast so please sign up, spread the word and help your community.
