San Diego County CA— The Jewish Teen Foundation, a program of the San Diego Jewish Community Foundation and a nationally-recognized model for teaching high school students about making a difference through philanthropy, will be presenting grants totaling $20,000 to selected organizations this evening, Sunday, May 21st. The event will take place at 6pm at the Jewish Community Foundation offices at 4950 Murphy Canyon Road, 92123.
Representing more than 9 high schools, the Jewish Teen Foundation students volunteers have helped to raise some of these funds for this year’s cause in supporting mental health programs as well as military support programs.
The program will be kicked off at 6pm with remarks by the Jewish Community Foundation’s new CEO Beth Sirull, who is leading the organization into its 50th anniversary this year with a particular goal to engage more philanthropists of the next generation. Also, large checks will be presented to the selected grantees and the teen volunteers will be recognized for their commitment and leadership in the program.
