Oceanside CA— On Thursday, December 3, 2020, the Woman’s Club of Oceanside presented a check for $2,500 to members of the Oceanside Firefighters Association during the club’s monthly meeting. The a portion of the money was raised during the Woman’s Club Annual Chili Cook-Off held on Saturday November 14, 2020.
More than 300 tickets were sold to the cook-off, this year, which was a drive-thru event due to COVID 19 State safety mandates.
“Tickets sales generated $1,500 and the other $1,000 was raised through donations,” said Zucette Lumabus, the event chair.
Also at the meeting, the members of the Oceanside Firefighters Association on hand to received the donation presented a plaque to Rose Teding, President of Woman’s Club of Oceanside, in recognition of the clubs service to the community.
